Automatic Smoke Vents – A Safety Solution for Modern Buildings

Current trends in design are increasingly focused on the sustainability and safety of buildings, especially fire safety. Whether it's an industrial, residential, or commercial building, protecting human lives and property must always be a top priority.

Automatic smoke vents are a modern solution that meets both technical and aesthetic requirements in design. These systems are typically installed high up, mainly in the roof area, and operate on the principle that in the event of a fire, the vent will open automatically, allowing smoke and gases to escape upwards. This completely addresses the issue of suffocation, supporting rescue efforts to protect lives and property before the fire spreads.

As a leading contractor in providing building envelope solutions, E-Power constantly strives to find and launch accessory products that complete roofing systems, ensuring safety, durability, high utility value. The Vent Hatch automatic smoke vent is one such solution.

Vent Hatch operates on the usual smoke ventilation principle: when a fire occurs, the rising smoke triggers sensors located high up, which then transmit a signal to the fire alarm system. The central control unit receives the fire alarm signal and controls and powers the motor at the vent location to open the vent, releasing toxic gases to the outside.

Vent Hatch can be made from a variety of materials, from aluminum, glass, and steel to polycarbonate, and is also designed with a tight lid for watertightness and ease of use. The automatic smoke vent is also calculated to suit the design in order to select the appropriate motor for the power of the electrical storage and drive system for each project.

"Nowadays, civil structures such as warehouses, factories, shopping centers, and office buildings consider the installation of automatic smoke vents a critical necessity to protect property. Effectively operating smoke vents help slow down the combustion process, facilitating rescue operations safely and efficiently."
